Well i put on axle extenders on my Raptor 2 1/2 on each side man it was sweet in the turns night and day almost spun out a few times! But 20min in to my ride the axle is bent on both sides!!!And one more thing i did not like how it jumps with wider axle.Well what axle to go with is Dura Blue still the one? And how much wider are you guys going with? Thankyou Skydog

Lonestar +4 is the one. IMO I've seen many Duracraps break. Later

Hey Sky,

I thought I saw a Yamaha rep taking dog doo and rolling it into a rear Raptor axle -- well almost-- it sure does seem that way. Have you ever looked dow at the axle under acceleration?? It will flex about 1.5" Dura is the way to go.

If you put in a Lonestar axle do you use the stock carrier and bearings or do you have to change that as well, In other words are you ready to go with just the cost of the axle or is there other things you have to but to make it work? Also if you use a 2+2 axle is it 2 and 4 inches wider than stock or what?

Mudrat454,

The Lonestar should work with your existing hardware, so no extra expense is incurred.

The +2+4 means that it is adjustable to be 2" or 4" ( in total) wider than the stock axle. The Lonestar is closer to +1 or +3 and works great.

Skydog,

I also recommend calling RPM to see if the Dominator is out yet. Obviously I know you don't want to wait but they told me that would be available in October back in about June or July. The one thing that looks good on paper is that the Dominator comes with a true lifetime warranty no matter how many times you screw it up.
