Bayou 250 & Praire 360
#5
Kawasaki is trying to ride off the success of the Prairie 650 but unfortnatly the most important improvements were not desinged into the new 360. I think if they would have located the gas tank down low and put a small v-twin in it as well as incorporate the other features of the 650 they would have another hit. As it stand they just build anoher average 4 wheeler.

Oldman Wheeler,
I respectfully disagree. I think it's far above the average 4 wheeler because it will have switchable 2wd, 4wd, and most importantly it will have a real locking 4 wheel drive. I think those are the two MOST important for a utility this year, and make the 360 MUCH more functional and enjoyable to drive than the rest in it's class.

Hey Jefffoxsr I should have gone to the ATV Illustated web site and read the article first. After reading the article there are only two items that the 650 has that I wish the 360 had. 1) A V-Twin and 2)locating the gas tank below the seat. I will be looking at one when it comes out for my son.

Oldman Wheeler,
I thought that you may not have read that article. I was going to get a Rancher for my wife, now, like you I am waiting until the 360 comes out.
Thanks, and have a nice day.

As for the 360,I agree that the switchable 4x4/4x2 and the locking lever are awesome features. I also think that the KEBC is a very welcome edition as well as the sealed rear braking. Trust me, if you have ever ridden an auto with out a braking feature on any kind of down hills you will wish it had it. As far as the Bayou, they better price this thing very aggresively(atleast $500 less than the Ozark and recon). If you look at a picture of it compared to the new Suzuki Ozark, you can tell the Kaw is over 10 years old. Then you throw in single A-arms and you can, well, tell it's over 10 years old. I understand Kawie's view point that if it sells it aint broke, and if it aint broke don't fix it! But come on Kawasaki! Maybe they are just buying some time to completley re-do the Bayou?
