I don't really like all those warning labels plastered all over my new SP 500. Do most people remove them? Does removing them have any effect on the warranty or anything else. Its still raining so I'm looking for something to do! and I've cleaned it up and it only has 8 miles so no point greasing it yet.

 

yes most everyone removes them i did and i dont think it effects the warranty none after you remove them take some goobegone(you can get it at most kmarts and walmarts) it will remove the glue left behind.

 

A heat gun on the lowest setting will greatly assist you, I took mine off with that in about an hour [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I tried the heat gun and the brake fluid tricks. The best way to remove the decals is with a hair blow drier to get the decal off and WD-40 on a clean, soft rag to get any remaining adhesive off.
The Brake Fluid didn't faze the decals and the heat gun is TOO HOT. I have areas on my scrambler where the pastic has been overheated by the heat gun.

 

The pressure washer took them off my neighbors alot faster than I got mine off with the hair dryer, I wish I had thought of that first.

 

I removed all of my warning labels off of my TBoss. Rubbing alcohol(85% or greater) will also take the glue off of the fenders.

Well, it was a struggle, but I got em off using a model airplane type heat gun held far away, my fingernails, and some Coleman fuel to get rid of the glue. If they built the rest of the machine as good as they glued on the stickers, it should hold together pretty well. Why bother with nice graphics when you clutter it up with all those ugly stickers.

 

I have a 2200 PSI Pressure washer.I put the nozzle on a real hard spray and it took the warning emblems and the glue COMPLETELY off in less than a minute.I have 2 new Kawasaki Lakato's and tried the PW on them,works great.Dont worry about losing your warrenty by removing the emblems,for the most part,they are there for the protection of the manufacture and is part of the 1988 Consent Decree agreement between the manufactures of ATVs and the CPSC.

Those stickers are put there so that you can't claim "I didn't know." The second thing I did to my Scrammy, after I got it home, is to remove those God awful stickers and put some of my own on. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
