DG exhaust
#1
Has anyone out there ever tried the DG exhaust pipe and silencer for their 2 stroke Polaris? I just saw it in a parts book today at work. I get a really good discount at work and would buy this if it is any good. I never knew that DG even made a Polaris 2 stroke exhaust. I think more company's should besides Aaen and RCR. I don't have anything against Aaen or RCR. In fact I might still get one from RCR.

The best thing to do with the DG pipe is put a piece of chain on it and fill the pipe with concrete. You can then use it to keep your boat from drifting out on the lake...
Call Rick Ritter and get an RCR or HPD Pipe. The DG is more expensive if you end up buying another pipe to get the quad to run better.

Thanks for the insight everyone. I will probably end up calling Rick. He has helped me with some other things I've done and I trust that his products work.
modquad,
I think it would be easier for you to just put "call HPD" in your signiture at the bottom of your replies. This would save you from having to type it everytime you answer a thread. I believe that HPD must build good performance stuff for Polaris quads. I however feel that people shouldn't just sell themselves to one company for everything. I have seen "call HPD" so many times now that it is like old news. When it comes time for more performance things for my quad, I can assure you that I WILL NOT call HPD. They will be last resort. Even if I waste all the my money before I call them.
Besides, I did call HPD once to ask them some questions. I never did get to talk to anyone that could answer my questions. I had to call at a special time. This does not impress me. I did call RCR a couple of times. The first time because he wanted me to, so he could help me out. Guess who answered the phone, Mr.RCR himself. Rick seemed like he was glad to help me out.(wether he was or not is not the point, he sure seemed like it thou) This to me is excellent customer service. Besides, you got to like a business man who answers his own phone. Ecspecially when you call on a sunday afternoon.
RCR will have my business every time before HPD. I like good customer service. Even thou I've never bought anything from RCR, yet.

I guess I don't understand when you try to save someone the hassles of wasting they're hard earned cash....then they get offended. Elroy, I have not been sold out to one manufacturer. I have Hot Seat, FMF, Aaen, and many other components which are gathering dust, or in need of repair after breaking. Maybe you ought to turn things around and look in the mirror.....now don't get angry, but when you continiually see posts giving Kudos to HPD for HP, why do you keep looking to other avenues. Rick is a great professional. I've talked with him a few times and he's a great guy. Why do you think he sellls HPD equipment??? Because it works. If someone comes on this forum openly asking for advice, I'm going to do my best to help them out. Jack Schultz hit the nail on the head the other day, different mods work in harmony with different machines and riders. If I, or any other performance minded Polaris person continually recommends a certain product with thumbs up, don't you think that should tell you something. I don't know it all, I'm learning every day. But geeze louise pal, if you ask for help and someone is giving it to you in a helpful way.......I gotta go this sucks..

Also getting new carb so that will be up for sale to an is jetted for the mods I have. If you want one or both leave message can save you some money.

I just wanted to say sorry to modquad. I believe his intensions were good. I just have not been sold on HPD as the very best, yet. Until then, their phone number does me no good. I am looking for reviews from people that have tried these different things. I want to hear how they compare to each other before I call anyone. Just because you believe doesn't mean I believe. I would like to know what makes you believe. Who knows, maybe one day, I'll believe too.

Elroy,
For someone who seems to know all the answers, why didn't you just do a search on "DG"........I did and found 13 topics with DG pipes in the title.
Not that it matters to you, but I won't even view any more of your posts.......you just seem a little too arrogant for my liking. It's like you ask questions, "even though you're sure you can figure it out yourself", and then talk someone down that tries to help. I've had enough.
