I did a search on Yahoo for "replacement laptop screen". Try it, you may find something cheaper.

 

if you get lucky you might find one. try pricewatch.com. thats where i buy all my computer parts. realistically though, laptops are cheap nowadays and it might just be better to buy a whole new one. you could also just hook the laptop up to a regular monitor, but then whats the point of having a laptop if you can only use it at a desk.

 

You can get a Dell laptop (I don't like them, but they are cheap) that is loaded for about $1400 at www.dell.com.

NO NO! Stay away from the Dell Laptops. Mine locks up all the time! Good desktops, but the laptops really bite.

 

You're right, I don't like Dell either but they are the cheapest usually. The new Sony's look pretty nice, but they are quite a bit more expensive. Oh by the way, Dell desktops are just as bad.

What's up with the Dell bashing? We run about 130 Dell desktops, 15 Dell servers, and 3 Dell laptops at work. I work in a hospital, so their jobs are mision-critical. Dell equipment has served us very well, and the service has been great.
