ulg95,

I have a 2000 Scrambler 500. What's the deal with the brake upgrade? Where do I get it? What does it consist of? How much does it cost?

Thanks in advance!!

It consists of 3 rotors, and 3 sets of pads, along with the mounting bolts for all. It costs close to $100, depending on model (the upgrade is for magnums, xplorers, sportsmans, scramblers, etc.). The parts #'s are in the Polaris 2002 ATV catalog........I don't have mine with me right now, so I don't have access to the numbers.

What does this kit do to improve the current brake system?

The rotors and pads are longer lasting and more durable.

the rotors are hardened steel so they do not wear so fast, and the pads are compatable with the hardened rotors.
