REALLY what is faster a 416ex or a 440ex? And what would be cheaper to build. Plus would you have to run race gas in both of these kits or would pumped gas work fine?

The 416 will rev higher and give you more top end. The 440 will give you the bottom end grunt. Both will increase the power band tremendously over stock. If you talk to a lot of the pro guys with two bikes, they run a 416 for TT and a 440 for MX.

On thing you're forgetting... Gearing. These guys are right. Pro's use the 416 for TT, becuase you never really get off the throttle. The 440 is the MX bike motor of choice(except the YZ426).

I know a few guys will come in here with 416's, so I want to ask a question. Would a 416EX with 18" tamers, and 14tooth sprocket have as much low end as a 440? If it would.. Well I guess the 440 would still be better for MX, but.... Just a question
