Hello:

Ok mojave fans I need some help about the weight of the Mojave, stock. I just want to know what it is. I was reading 4 wheel ATV action and they said the clamied weight is 418 lbs. what's up with that. At kawasaki's website it says it is 379 dry. Now there is no way that 2.2 gallons of gas, 2.1 US qt of oil, and 1.5 US qt of water weigh 39 lbs. Where do they get this. This mag is really starting to **** me off, all they can do is diss the mojave left and right. I know kawasaki needs to do something about the sport atvs but the Mojave is still a very good quad. It was the fastest of all the quads in the shootout and the 2nd quickest just behind the blaster by .1 sec In this shootout all they could do was say bad things about the Mojave and so many good things about the Honda 250EX, (MAN I"LL SMOKE THAT LITTLE WEAK SHAFT DRIVE!) Like I said Kawasaki needs to get going on a new sport and they are, but listen people that little Mojave deserves it's respect. It's been around for sometime now and still is a great quad. With about 1000$ to 1500 dollors you can make it beat warriors and 400EX easy. I just wanted to get that out of my system and also say that when these Magazine company's do these shoot outs don't go out of your way to diss one quad, and get off of Honda's nuts already.

Mojave fans please let me know what you think and go get the new
4 Wheel Action so you can see how much those guys hate the Mojave. I bet anything if they seen Lurch's Mojave they would be begging for a ride.

Peace Out!

Heck with a 13 tooth front srocket and jet kit it will out accelerate AND have a higher top speed than a Warrior. I read the test a few weeks ago and just kinda laughed like I always do when they test the Mojave. If you read the stuff closely it just doesn't add up. It is their way of trying to embarass Kawasaki into pushing a bigger/revamped sport quad out. They say that the Lakota suspension is great, the Mojaves completely sucks, and they are very similar. They say that at $4,099 that is too much money? If that's the case how does Honda justify $4,800 for the 300EX? I understand that a Blaster is about $1,000 cheaper, but you get real brakes, a LIQUID cooled 4-stroke, and reverse on the Mojave. Atleast they got the top speed right this time at 55.1 mph. The last time they tested it they said "it will do 50mph on a level surface"!!! The time before that they said 52 mph. I remember (late 80's?)when they tested it at 56-57 mph, but of coarse that is when they liked it , before the big thumpers came along. You pretty much gotta read between the lines with the Rags. No matter what they say, I like my Mojave. I can beat 300EX, Blaster's and Warriors all day long. Maybe they just don't know how to ride the Mo

I think your right. The little mo deserves a little respect. I believe the mojave weighs closer to the 370's than the 400's. My friend has a warrior and it is quite a bit heavier and they say it weighs 420. I go places with my mojave that the warriors only dream of going and I'll jump higher and farther than the warrior will anytime. The mojaves engine is so far ahead of all the others in the shootout and how dare they even compare the little ***** fart 250ex to the kawi. A mojave will destroy a 250 ex in any situation. I agree the mo needs a little suspension work to the front and it does have some things that need to be changed but for 4000 dollars you can't find a better bike. And if people can't handle the kick start they shouldn't even be on a sport quad. I owned a yamaha blaster and its not a bad bike but you can't keep a set of brakes or bearings on the damn thing. The mojave is much more reliable. I wish they would get there crap together.

I think the magazines do that to get Kawasaki to update it. It may be a good quad but after 15 years, something should be changed. I can see maybe going 5 years or so with not changes, but 15 is rediculous. I just sold my Mojave today for $250. It was only that cheap because it needed a new top end and a lot of transmission work. As for the weight, it may not be 418, but I don't think it is 379 either. Because it that is true then my 300EX must be 350 lbs, and its only listed for 377. And I know that the 300 is a heck of a lot lighter than the Mojave. I am not dissing the Kawi, it was very reliable and fun (until it went South on me) even through all of the abuse I put it through. But I just like my 300EX more that's all. As for the kick start, have you ever tried to start it when the lever was wet, then have your foot slip, then have a steel lever come back at your shin. Intense pain. I think if they are going to keep kick start they should make it kick back like that Blaster. That way if it does slip it doesn't hit bone.

What's up:

2000Mojave and mentalmojave good stuff I'm glad to see I'm not the only one here that likes the Mojave that much and I'm gonna like it for a long time. Any other MO fans please respond, I would like to hear more. As for the 1000$ to 1500$ I'm just saying that because if you add that much to your Mojave you can beat them and still would only of paid as much as they did for stock.

Later!

Well I came to work this week with this joke of a magazine, I read the article, and just couldn't post the pure stupidness of this ediot.

He dist the mojave, but praises the lakota......what does this guy take me for. If I painted the lakota green, how many beginners, (as he says these bikes are beginners bikes) could tell the difference.
He had to praise the lakota, what was he gonna say.
All kawi did was take a bayou engine put a hotter cam in it, then stuck it in a mojave frame.
Whats the ex, a recon, with some ex suspention and frame work.
He has absolutely no idea.
He has something to say about the price....I bought my lakota for $3600 out the door, the mojave thats thier I can now get for $3400 out the door.
Why doesn't every one see if you can get a penny off of a honda. My son races honda's, I've been begging him to go to a different make this year so I can deal with these poeple.
As far as drag racing and mx, well I don't know all about thier figures, if thier pro honda it would be easy to punch in any numbers thier.
As I said I have a lakota, and as far as the 250EX and 300EX, I would love to take each and every one of them, I've run against many, and haven't found a one that can keep up yet, and oh yes when they read this bring it on.

And what about the ******* the little itty bitty 250 gets, WHAT is the actual cc of the hondas, hay we could put 300 on the side of the mojave, honda does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
