I was not very impressed with the rubicon....for my recon being a 250 class and him being in the 500 class and auto trans. he should of smoked me but i hung with him...he had me by about...3-5 bike lengths through out the race....we had to slow down before we readched our max speed....ran out of field. i had 2 people on my recon too. oh well....just thought i'd tell ya'll that. Anyone else want to tell me about some races you have had?

 

I beat a few Trx300s on my Recon and some other quads is the 200 - 350 cc utility range.

 

For the money and what you get a new 2002 Recon is one heck of a QUAD.

Yeah, right! A Rubicon with a single rider beating a Recon with 3 people in a drag race by a couple of lengths only? I've ridden one of the new Recon's, and they're awesome machines, but come on! What are you leaving out?

Oh yeah, and there is a great little invention out that you might have heard about? Its called a spell checker? You should pick one up. They work wonders.

 

i got outran in a drag race by a stock 300ex while i was on my 400 , i later realized that i was shooting grass about 20 feet in the air for about 100 yards because i could not hook up as good with my aired to the max holehots aginst the awesome stock 300ex tires. boy did feel like a moron. a little sliding back on the seat fixed the problem though [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]. racin is always fun when you can laugh when its over. its the arrogant people who cant admit when they are beaten that make it stink sometimes.

 

I was just thinking someone secretly swapped the decals on the bikes, so he though he was on a recon...

Oh as for fair drag races- there's no room at the local riding area, "the off road not even really trailed place" called Fingure Lakes. But around my farm where there are several 1/4 mile stretches of smooth grass raced a kawa 220 and 300, niether keep up with a rancher. No sport bikes around right now.

 

But, cmon folks, a 500cc Rubicon with a single rider being beaten by a 250cc Recon with 3 riders? Somebody's been smoking something, maybe the riders involved. No way, no how....That Recon is a responsive bike, and with a great little motor, but that's pushing it...
