powder coating the cases

can you powder coat the engine cases and covers? do you have to use a special process?

i'm sure if you can chrome them then u can powder coat em...what kind of bike do u have?

You can powdercoat the engine cases. It looks pretty good but it will still rub off eventually. And it dosent let heat out as good. I would try polishing them if you want to do something.

it's a 250r. how much will it cost to polish the cases? mabey i should just let them be, having a nice looking engine wont make it any faster.

Ok look matters alot so polish them. Why would you even considering powder coating the cases that would look like poop. I hafve polished the starter cap so far and it looks great. good luck.

I have seen the center cases powder coated, but you have to split the bottom end to do so. I'm planning on doing this myself, right now I have both outer cases Chromed with a polished cylinder. When you polish, remember you have to keep it polished.....but it looks good.email me for pics, 89 250R
