You can't go wrong with Eric Gorr working on your engine. I attended a seminar he gave on motorcycle engine building and the guy was unbelievable. He has published several books on engine building and repair and he definitely knows his stuff. My son took his CR125 engine to the seminar and Eric tore it down and replaced a crank seal for him at no charge. Besides being a small engine expert he is absolutely one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I think he's also a moderator on the engine building forum over at www.dirtrider.net.

Thanks a lot, that makes me feel a lot better. Its hard to find a decent engine builder, you cant got with the big names anymore, they just have too much of a workload to give any special attention or put any extended ammount of quality into thier engines.

I had a motor and head work done by Eric for my 250R...while it was better than stock, it wasn't anything special, so I ebayed it and went with another builder. I had a small problem when I wanted the motor to run on pump gas, got it back, ran it, and put a hole in the piston..turned out Eric set it up for too much compression, so I sent it back, but he wouldn't get me a new piston.
