hey i have a man down the road from me that is giving a way a 250r 3 wheeler the frame is bent but the moter runs ok will the moter fit in a 400 ex frame what modifacations will i hvae to do to make it work orshould i put it in a different frame i am kindashort on buget so help me out thanks alot

 

you could do it but you would have to mount the radiator and modify the pipe to fit , maby a quad 250r pipe would fit with a little modifying but i dont know if it will bolt up to the motor or not.

 

What year is it? Is it water cooled. If it's an 85-87 the motor will bolt right into a trx250r frame, pipe and all.

ATC250R's were not made in 87.

There just happens to be a 400EX rolling chassis on Ebay!! I think it is in PA.

 

I'm almost postive '87 were made in for sale in europe, and other contries than the USA.

 

If you can't find a rolling chasis to put the motor in. I will be glad to take it off your hands for you.

I saw an 89 ATC the other day. I thought the same way LtRacerX thought. I did not know they were made in Canada, until then!
