I contacted Micky Dunlap about doing a big bore and port work on my Raptor. He responded right away and seems like a pretty nice guy. Has anybody had work done by him on their Raptor.

This is the e-mail I got with pricing.

All my bore kits will run on pump gas (93 or 94 octane) except for the 12:1. If you put a cam with this, it's even easier to run super unleaded because you have less cylinder pressure. We do all the port work in-house. There is nothing tricky about this porting except for the cross-over port. I am experimenting with different sizes but even when it shows something on the flow bench it doesn't necessarily mean more power on the ground. I haven't kept track of how many heads I have done and we are getting so many Grizzly's in now I don't have time to count. Our port and flow work is $350, $185 for pistons kits standard to 40 over, $195 for the 80 over's, valve springs are $100, clutch springs are $20, cam is $185 exchange.

That sounds very fishy. True, a cam that is more &quot;high rpm&quot; oriented will develop less cylinder pressure at low rpm's, but at high rpm's (where the cam is designed to develop more HP than the stock cam) the cylinder pressure is even greater.
