I have a 2000 sportsman 500. Lately its been hard to start if it sits for 1 week. Today I cranked it until the battery went dead. IT didnt even fire. I had to put gas down the spark plug hole & it finally started. I then noticed antifreeze constantly dripping off the screw head of the exhaust going to the engine. This is green in color & only when the engine is running.Any Ideas?

I have only experienced that with a car. It had a bad head gasket. Coolant was leaking by and getting pumped out the exhaust valve. I'm sure that's only one possible cause out of many. Good luck!

If the antifreeze is on the Xpipe where it meets the head then it isnt a headgasket. It it was a HG it would be comming out the back of the Xpipe. Sounds to me like you have a leak in one of the coolent lines near the pipe. It only does it when it running because the cooling system presurizes when the motor runs and the coolant gets hot.
