gncc raptor
#1
i'm planning on running the hare scramble series in ny next year and i was wondering if any of my raptor brothers are doing the same, or are already doing it, and what can i expect to replace on my quad. (what will break first) i've put on all the protection stuff, now i'm down to the mechanical part of it.
ps a couple of us have a woods course layed out and i've already bent 3 stock rims and made a tie rod look like a pretzel, and replaced the upper a arm bushings. this type of riding can be brutal, and i'm just practicing right now. any info would be great. i also plan on going to florida in march for the first gncc race, but not racing, just help a friend. thanks

I am looking inot running the Ny harescrambles also. I have a banshee and a raptor. The banshee is built for it and the raptor is getting there. I was just planning on running the banshee seeing it has more done to it.
Was wondering if anyone had more info on the harescrambles in NY. Has anyone raced them here, how was it, what should I look out for?
thanks

I won't be able to make the florida race but I'll be at the macon race and probably as many as my body will let me.
As you see not even the raptor is immune to the gncc onslaught.
Ya it's tough.
I haven't ridden the raptor, but the only thing I see realy different is the +1 a-arms or +1 offset wheels all the way around.
I understood a couple poeple had trouble with the gap between first and second gear, if I owned the bike like you, I'd probably adjust my riding style untill I could prove that it was a handy cap.
Other than that, get a camel back, get in shape and hope to see you thier.
If thiers any thing I can do let me know.
As you know the first half of the season is in the south and the second half is in the north, come september I know I'll be looking up some of these guys on here, so maybe another thing you and I could do to prepare, is make some friends on here to help us out!!!!!!
