I have a 98 Banshee and would love to install some type of inexpensive water or engine temperature guage on it.

I have seen a homemade set-up on E-bay that uses a meat thermometer. Has anyone tried this or have others ideas?

Thanks!

I saw a setup in the ad pages of Dirtwheels. I can't remember the name if I see it again I'll tell you or you can get a copy.

Dirtwheels August 2001 has it. It's called the Warp Drive Heat Seeker and it uses the same thing as the one on EBay with the meat thermometer brazed into some copper tubing. The price is $34.95 and is sold by Warp Drive Performance Products. Their number is 316-221-6548. Good luck.

I've got a Raptor. We live on a street where all the guys are pretty much the same. My neighbor has a 400EX, another neighbor has a Scrambler 500 and my brother also has a Raptor. We just got into quads about 4 months ago because the wives said dirt bikes were too dangerous. Thank god they did because I like my Rap better than anything! how about you?

If you want a real nice looking peace you can get an ESR water temp gauge, it's made for a 250R but will work on any liquid cooled motor.

High Lifter has a coolant temp gauge that will work. It fits on any normal size coolant line. It mounts up the the handle bars, looks great and is even lit at night. I love it.
