First post here (this is a great board). Need a little help with the re-assembly of a 97 250 Recon hind end as I have not been able to find anyone with a manual I can buy (Cylmer apparently doesn't have one).

The 2 big jam nuts on the axle, what is the proper adjustment / procedure for them? Want to make sure I get it right. Thanks in advance for any help.

The service manual doesn't really say much other than giving the torque specs which are: axle nut (inner) - 29 ft lbs, locking nut (outer) - 94 ft lbs. It also says to use thread lock on the locking nut.

Hope this helps,

Recon Rear end

This may help a little.I allso read it as 29ft.lbs and 94ft lbs

You dont want the inner to tight or you will compress the seal to much.
