Hi all.

I have two Honda 300TRX EX quads, a 96 and a 98. I replaced the stock pipes with DG Krome pipes with SuperTrapp exhaust and spark arrestor. They run great, but the pipes glow red hot right at the connection to the manifold to about 2 inches down. The pipe does seem thin, but is this normal for these pipes? I know they turn blue (which thay have) and everything, but someone saw that they were glowing like that and said they were running too lean and that I am going to kill the engine if I keep running that hot, so now I am paranoid. Thay have been running fine otherwise, just start glowing about 2 inches or so from the connection from the manifold to the curve while riding. They stop glowing and cool down quickly when stopped at an idle.

Thanks.

Lean.
Lean.
Lean.
Lean.
Lean.

but...you could also have an obstruction(outlet, muffler, etc) but it would not run very well then...

So.
Lean.
Lean.
Lean.
