Top speed of Scrambler 400- 54mph? sounds fishy**
#1
In a recent issue of ATV Sport magazine, they say theat they tested the top speed of a 2000 Scrambler 400 and with a Radar gun the top speed was 54mph?? Doesn't that sound a little fishy? I thought it was about 65mph stock. Any info?

Don't believe everything you read. They were probably testing it in the sand or something .
A friend of mine had a magazine that said that the top speed of a Banshee was 64...yeah sure.
Stock the Scram 400 should go about 63.

<< The top speed for a 400 i at the most 59mPH. My 2000 trail blazer goes 50 w/ out mods, and 60 w/, and with the mods it beat a stock 400 on pavement, same weight riders, same tires, >>
I'm not saying that you are wrong, but my experiences show different results. If we want to start comparing quads then you can take a Warrior for example. Those things have to run pretty close to 60mph if not slightly faster. A stock Scrambler will eat one for lunch (even on top end).
Also, I thought that it took more than a pipe for a Trail Blazer to beat a Scrambler (I thought it took the whole race mod setup). Maybe there was something wrong with the one that you raced?
