WOW,
I have take delivery of my SP700 today, and, I have only one word to say : WOW
It's an incredible machine. Plenty of power, it "seems" much lighter than the 500Ho, it turns much shorter, and the engine makes a beautiful noise !
The A2500 Winch, install in the front bumper (safe from water and mud
), with it's remote control, is very nice.
It's night now, but tomorrow, as soon as the sun will rise, I will be above!
I'm a happy owner !

Arriving by boat?Thats interesting. After owning two very unreliable Polaris 4x4s,I had a smart a$$ comment that I think I'll just keep to myself?

I wish BOTH of you new owners the very best out of both your new ATVs.

Ride safe and have alot of fun.

Bill

GREAT JOB GUYS!
POLARIS BUILDS GREAT PRODUCTS!

i'm waiting for the $69 winch deal to be offered on the 700.
JBOURRETTE- does the winch mount where that rectangle cut-out is in the middle of the bumper? it doesn't seem that there is a lot to mount it to back there.

anyways, ENJOY! (and i can't wait to get mine someday!)

mtpockets, yes winch mount where that rectangle cut-out is in the middle of the bumper? But you must buy the Polaris Warn A2500 Winch to do that, or need to buy the braket. Polaris says than specific brakets will not be available anywhere else Polaris.

msconfig, Excellent chocie to trade Rubicon 500 by SP 700, it's simply then night & the day ! You'll become an happy owner your turn. I'va try for a long trip both Rub500 and Sp700, and the diffrence between Rub 500 and SP700 is like Polaris Xplorer 400 (with no IRS) and Polaris Sprotsman 500Ho. With the SP 700, you'll have Power, power, great exhaus sound, and power, power, torque, torque, power... wow, incredible !

All big ATV are on earth, but SP 700 is on another planet !

Currently you must purchase from Polaris either the Warn A2000 or A2500 winch kits. They come complete with the mounting bracket. You cannot purchase the bracket only. The winch motor clock position has been changed on the Polaris winches for access to the power terminals. I have contacted both Warn and Ramsey. They both are currently working on the mounting brackets to fit the Sportsman 700. Warn says they will have it available sometime after the first of the year and Ramsey says they will have theirs available very soon. So if you want to mount a winch right now, you will either have to purchase the Polaris winch kit or build your own mounting bracket.

thanks for the info.!

it seems like the placement of the winch is very high on the machine- might this affect its usefullness when trying to tug yourself out of deep mud?

(BTW,i'm finding it very difficult to wait for my new 700)

"merry x-mas 'all!"

mtpockets,
I am still waiting on my Polaris A2500 winch kit. I ordered it in September and haven't received it yet. According to my dealer when I spoke with him last Thursday, it is due in tomorrow, so I cannot answer your question from personal experience. I do not believe the location would be a hinderance. When you are burried in a mud hole, normally you would be pulling at an upward angle anyway. If anything, I think the loacation would be advantageous because the winch would not be burried down in the mud so deeply and also would not obstruct the radiator. Perhaps someone that already has one installed in the factory location could better answer this question.

first drive today... SP700 very very good machine... but the tire is not good... on snow it's dangerous... probably very good tire for mud and sand but for the snow it's the hell.

s'cuse my english... The same thing as the tires, it's the hell
