I was wondering if anyone seen the new 2002 ATV accessory book. Yamaha had their own header pipe available for the Raptor along with jetting kits and different air filter setups. I think the pricing is a littly steep, but my dealer usually gives me 10 to 20% off MSRP. I have heard that Yamaha's setup for the YZ426 is the best available compared to aftermarket. Anyone have one yet or have heard the gains of this new system from Yamaha.

The new header from GYTR is great. It is the only head pipe on the market (that I have seen) that actually uses a smaller tube diameter and moves the collector back. I suspect it will substantially improve torque at low rpm.

We will try one soon.

720- do you think the gyrt header along with the slip-on will be a good combination to use with trinty's 686 kit? What pipe or slip-on do you use currently? Thanks,

On my 686 and 720 engines, I use the stock headpipe and GYTR tip as well as a Trinity dual stainless pipe. I usually run the stock head pipe just to get more races (looks more stock). Trinity is currently working on three additional pipe combos for various engine designs. I should have some info back soon as I might test their systems (I also want to test the GYTR headpipe).

raptor720, when you finally get to test the GYT-R header, drop me a line, I like the sounds of the kind of tourqe this header could produce, because I love tourqe, I geared mine down to 11th on the front, and now my top speed is dead, the otehr day a couple of my friends came over to ride, and we raced around the track, it was my raptor and my uncles tecate, I beat them, but I think I could reallymake them eat dirt if i geared it back up (I've got a 12th im fixing to try) and got a tip, and maybe the gyt-r header, how much top end will the pipe take away do you think?

I think the head pipe along with the slip on will give awesome gains to a Raptor...night and day. Mark you are really serious about calling Trinity huh? It is gonna take alot of me watching them flip burgers to come up with the cash to keep up now! I cant wait to see the difference.

hurycne- that is the upcomeing program. A shiny black and white raptor with a 686. I will not be able to do it until feb. 1st though. My wife and i are not buying any "presents" for our selves in Jan. plus i need to get those mobile homes on the market. The upside to the mobile homes is the bulldozer. Bulldozer means more trails and a finished track.

I finally got the GYT-R header a day ago only to find out the one I got would not fit!! It fit without the silencer but as soon as I TRIED to put the silencer on it and the header hit the frame in two different spots. It looked good and did have smaller primary tubes with a slightly bigger collector tube. Now I have to wait till February to try it again.
