I'm in need of an exhaust for my 86 250R, and i was gonna go with a chrome esr trx 5 cause i've heard they produce awesome power everywhere. But the guy who just fixed some stuff on my motor said i should get the ftz inframe drag pipe....he said they produce awesome power on the entire powerband. So now i don't know which one to get. any suggestions from experience?

If you want power throughout the power band, go with the ESR TRX5. The FTZ, while it makes good power, really shines on the top-end.

FTZ for drag only, ESR TRX5 for all around (and still screams on top)

What exactly are you tyring to do with your bike? Drag race, pleasure ride dunes, mx? What's been done to your engine. The info will help us provide you with the correct pipe for your application.

It's gonna be and all around type bike. Mainly trails and open fields...but i want to race cross country, and maybe a trip to the dunes once a year. Right now, there is nothin done to the engine, i've got to go pick it up from the mechanic. It's bored .050 over, which i think comes up to about 263cc's. Other than that, nothin i believe.

You DEFINATELY don't want an FTZ drag pipe then. A TRX5 will be you best bet, and they have a money back performance guarantee, how could you go wrong? Email me if you want a deal on one.
