Okay I am getting the Cannibal at 9:00 AM on Monday it turns out. What should I look for to make sure it is okay? What type of oil do I use in the engine and tranny?

Hay corney,
If you are really getting a new (or whatever) quad read the owners manual.
And just out of curiousity, why are you buying a quad that you have never seen before and what if you do find something wrong with it, you gunna send it back? LOL!

congrats corndog! it is a great bike and doesn't really take more maintenance, things just take a little longer to do! Check ALL your nuts/bolts/screws and if loose use loctite on em. Read the manual. Realize that the bike will change alot during breakin. Adjust the bars/controls to fit you. GoodLuck!
