Raptor aftermarket clutch lever. Do I need those switches from the old clutch lever assembly?

I bought cr 250 clutch for my raptor to get rid of that bulky thing. I noticed when I was about to install it that there are 2 switches on it. One has to be the rev limiter for the parking brake. Now my question is can I just get away with using just the clutch cable to my new lever or do I need that extra switch? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

OK here we go.

You will need to get an emergency brake block ($6-$15). Remove emergency brake cable and assy and throw away. Remove both the emergency brake and clutch switch wires from behind the radiator. The one where both wires go into one adapter just leave. The ones that are seperate must be pluged into one another or the quad will not start (this is the clutch wires). Install new pearch and lever and adjust the clutch engagement and away you go.

This is a great mod.

in simpler fashion, unplug those switches, follow the wire down and you will find wher eto unplug them, then take the lever off and unhook the parking brake cable and take it off, then get rid of it, it doesnt matter if you get a brake blockoff or not, wont hurt if you just leave the assembly on the caliper, but its a pretty popular mod to take it off and add a block off plate, which can be purchased at a near dealer.
