I have actually thought about this. My answer depends on the time of the year and the amount of good riding I have locally.
On the atv side it would be great to have 3 new machines and invite friends and family to ride with you. Probably (2) Sp 700's and (1) 325 TRAIL BOSS.
If you can find good riding within 30 miles of home it would be real easy to take the atv's and run every weekend.
On the other hand the Harley would actually hold it's value off the showroom floor. You could ride anywhere and any time you wanted to Weather permitting. At times you could pick up the wife or a kid to ride along but mostly it is a solo activity.
On the days when it is 80 degrees and sunny I would pick the Harley. On most other days I would prefer the shelter of wooded trails on my new 700.

I would choose the three new quads. I am not much of a motorcycle man. I would like to have one, someday but that will be when I have enough money to just buy one cash. I would hate to spend that much money on something that I could only ride part of the year and when its not raining. To me, that would be like owning a boat. Atleast you wouldn't have to tow it to use it but you are still limited to the same availible times to use it. I guess I just believe that I could get more use out of an ATV. It would also depend on where you live. I live in a small town that is surrounded by the great outdoors. Lots of places to ride an ATV. If I lived in a bigger city with no where to ride an ATV then a bike would definately be more appealing. It would be nice to have a bike and hit the open road for a nice days ride but it is also nice to get out in the great outdoors where their is no speed limits or as many other drivers that could seriously ingure me. I trust myself more than anyone else.

I would choose the quads over a Harley, but that's cause I'm not a big Harley fan.

If I had a bike I'd rather have like a CBR F4 or something along those lines. But I'd still rather have 3 atv's over one of those (makes sense considering the values).

The 3 quads of choice, for sure. I will bet this will be the prevailing choice (after all, we aren't in the lowrider chatroom).
My reasons? Ever try to drive a Harley in a cattle pasture, or down a narrow, twisting road with loose gravel with a Harley? Besides, where would I mount my sprayer?

PS would the Harley come with a winch? LOL

I choose not to get another street bike because of the danger factor. You could be the best driver in the world but people are total idiots on the road. I live in MI but my wife works in Chicago and we lived there for awhile and there is no way I would drive a bike there anymore. It is a shame because I used to love it. At least when I am on my own place with the quad I only have to worry about the deer. You just have to weigh your options and your situation and make the best of it. My 2 cents.

i've got two atv's, a "99" lakota and a "00" trail boss. there's not a whole lot of places to ride in central il. (thAT'S LEGAL) atv's are fun but they don't even come close to the good times i have on my 2000 FAT BOY, my wife likes the bike better also.

I am lucky enough that I have 2 Harleys a chopper I built and a "89" FLH. I also have 2 "01" Sportsman 500 HO's. I lost my job last June but I say I'm lucky because they are all paid for. I have been riding bikes for 45 years and ATV's about 10. When it come down to real enjoyment its the trips my wife and I take on our ATV's that comes in firts place. Sure its fun to go down the road with the wind in your face on one of the hawgs. But the growing population and traffic on the front range in Colorado is slowly taking that fun away. So if it came down to it the "FLH" would go first bfore any of the Polaris's. I built the chopper 23 years ago and its one of the family so any mention of selling it is out of the question. As for pure fun you cant beat a ATV.

3 ATV's of course. I would go with the Cannondale Speed, The Raptor, and the DS650. So that way when everyone starts talking smack I could take them anywhere they wanted and they could ride all 3 and see which one was better.
