makin my atv faster
#2
Ive done some work on mine, mostly bolty on power. All the things I have put on have payed off. My atv can do 65+mph. Im really pleased with it performance. Just look below for what i did to it. The bigger tires increased the gearing giving it more top end. the jet kit improved trottle respones. the muffler added more torque an hp throughout the power band. the proflow added power especailly with out the air box lid. all these thing are easy to install and pay off.

I dont know how much faster you want to go .A stock Wolverine will do about 55mph . Its one of the fastest 4x4 bikes right out of the box. Especially considering its only a 350cc with about 18hp stock and the engine is 12year old technology.I would like to see one do 65+mph as someone would like to think. It might with a 100 mph tailwind revving at about 9000rpm. I have a 95 with a few mods and lighter tires and also the 95's have a bigger carb than any other ones, and it will do approx 60-62mph on a good flat stretch. But thats with no tail wind (By the way.Bear claws are one of the worst power robbing tires on the market) But I guess kids like to dream.

yeah your right it will probally do 64mph
No but honestly bigger tire increase top speed. you will losse exelleration but you will go faster. thats the reason why bigger tires are power robbers. as far as the bear claws. no they are one of the lightest 25inch tires. and the most vesital.

I dont know what you call light. A 25"bearclaw is almost double the weight of a 25"dunlop tire. That is because the bearclaws are a 4 ply tire and the dunlop is a 2 ply.As far as versatile the bear claw might be good in mud but they tear the arms right off you in the snow .I have the 25"dunlops on mine and I can go anywhere my friend can go on his 98 wolverine with 25" bearclays. The only difference is when he rides in snow he can barely keep his bike on the trails because the bires catch a little snow and pull him off of the traill. When we hit a dirt road I can easily out accelerate him because of my lighter tires.
