Raptorish looking Z400
#1
Was just looking at the Z400 again in the Dirt Wheels. Just wondering if anyone else seems to notice the Raptor like styling? Reverse ****, key and neutral indicator assembly, front end view, and the same Dunlops as the Raptor? Just something to think about, wonder how much was creativity and what might have been inspired by Yamaha. Still looks good though.

Amazing, isn't it? I totally agree with you on the great Suzuki rip-off. At least, they chose the best looking quad to "steal" their design. I read that the feel from sitting on the quad is nearly identical to that of the raptor as well. It does look like it will be an awesome quad, but it isn't a Yamaha(hehe). A friend of mine has reserved one from our local dealer. I will know soon just how much they "borrowed" from the 660R.

I still have the opinion that the entire sport quad market is headed towards the same look. Kind of like the sport street bikes.
If you really think about it, if the OEMs want to update the look of sport quads, the only way to go is with the looks of the Raptor. There is just so many ways to style quad plastic and I believe there is nothing left to do but stick with the trend that has worked for another OEM. In this case, it's the Raptor.
We may be coming to a point in which, from a distance, you will only recognize a quad by it's color.

I'm sorry some people feel the post was a waste of space and thank you to the one that stated that some don't spend their life on the forums. Was just trying to put up a response stimulating post. Also, possibly maybe think about the fact that Suzuki and Yamaha have some closed door ties. As it is, Suzuki and Kawasaki have decided to merge to a degree. Who knows who will be together next(except for KNOWSALOT because he really seems to know his sh*t,please keep up the good info), guess anythings possible.
