I plan on keeping my 400EX quiet but would still like to do away with the restrictive muffler tip it comes with. I read where the new XR650 also came with a restrictive tip but Honda offered a replacement tip with an outlet twice the size. Both the mufflers look the same on the XR and EX and was wondering if the removable tips were interchangable? Thanks.

If it was me I would head to your local Honda dealer and see if there was a possible match. Take you a good measuring device and see if the parts manager can help you.
