Is there anyplace online where we can buy a service manual for the DS. I have the 2002 baja, but I would buy one for a 2001 if that is all I can get.

My nearest dealer is about 180 miles or so and I would prefer to find one over the net or by calling it in. Anyway if you have any info thanks.

If you find a place, let me know, maybe we could get a bit better deal if we got two. I have been wnating one as well. Good to hear it is all coming together.

 

I ordered one from my local dealer. 69 Bucks. He said it would take a week to get it in.

Once I get it, I will scan it into Adobe Acrobat Viewer format. This might take a couple weeks to get done.

I have been looking for it on-line as well. If anyone has a web site we could place the scanned manual on please let me know.

I was hoping to do just that on my website in the near future. When you get the scanning/PDF'ing done send me an email (administrator@ds650.net) and I can post it for all the free world to see. Although, I hear in China the Government is now taking more control over the Internet and they may not be able to view such extreme material.

 

TheFasterTheBetter, Be careful guys! You might want to check into any copywrite issues with re-publishing/copying/re-distributing the DS manual. I would love to see an online copy myself, but I also don't want anyone to get into any unnecassary legal trouble. Just a thought!

Never thought I would be saying these words together but, "Thank's Buttfungus."

I am going to have to think about this one. I still plan on scanning into .pdf when I get it. If my friends would like to borrow my manual I could probably get away with "loaning" them a section. Don't know, and I don't plan on talking with a lawyer on this (not over a $69 manual.) I would think you could get in trouble if it was used on a web site that either sold ad space or sold parts (for profit web site.) If there was a web site that was not for profit it may not be an issue (not sure.)

I have compared the BMW F650 manual to DS manual,as far the motor goes the BMW F650 manual is far better an more detailed when it comes to the internals of the motor.Too bad it is $130 bones.
I ordered a DS manual on CD rom 3 months ago,still have not seen it yet.
