ATV TV

Has anyone out there ever seen this show on The Outdoor channel?
This has got to be the worst show on tv. I'm a sucker for anything ATV related, but this program is unbearable. If you haven't had the pleasure of watching this fine program I'll give you a little overview. It's a half hour show with a good 10-15 minutes of commercials, actually like 3 long commercial playing over and over. So the show has about 15 or so minutes of actual programing. In these 15 minutes the host, Dean Meyer I believe his name is, procceds to give us as little information about atvs as he possible could.
This week he spent the whole show showing us the inside of some mobile home. When he does review an actual atv he tries to be a vague about it as possible. Example: It's big it has a lot of power. Then they will have a clip of the atv being tested going over a rock or through water, and they will replay the same clip about 10 times and different speeds. This lasts a few seconds before the you come to a shot of Dean inside a pickup truck or sitting on an ATV giving a vague preview of the bike while throwing in religious and political comments every chance he could with this little sideways look he has.
One episode was entirely devoted to showing us a program Honda had put together that takes inner city children to the beach and lets them eat pizza and ride a 90 on a course in the sand. Don't get me wrong I'm all for this, but I don't want to waste half an hour watching 5 year olds eating pizza and putting around at 2 mph. You could have wrapped this story up in 30 seconds and moved on to something else.
With so many new products and bikes and races out there I can't believe this is the best they could do.
Well, I just had to vent, that last show was rediculous.

In the "Other ATV Topics" forums there is a thread about ATV TV. The host of the show, Doug Meyer has been actively posting in that thread lately. Maybe if you have some constructive comments/criticism about the show you could post them there.

The first atvtv show i saw he kept talking up the raptor....while showing the same four clips of atv's drag racing in the dunes and a scrambler playing in a small sand pit. FINALLY at the end of the show......for about 30 seconds, you actually see a raptor!!!!!! but he doesn't start it, touch it, and god forbid he start the dang thing.......It was the last time i watched his show.......glad to see it hasn't changed any....
i have plenty of critisism of the show. I figure the rest of the board is busy praising him for puting on a show soley about atvs......even though it is horrible. I would rather watch Rosie O'Doughnut eat Vietnamese cats.......if you get the picture........
