I need help with the jetting on my bike. I finally got it all put back together and i cant get it to start. It turns over and has a good spark but i wont fire. I was told by LRD the place that built my motor to use a 170 and put the pin at the 4th notch. This got it to fire and die over and over again. So whats my prob? Any help is appretiated and i should go to LRD for this info but there customer service blows nuts. I guess thats what i get for spending 1.5k there. OK thxs alot here is list of mods.

1 416 bore
2 LRD cam
3 Full port and valve seat
4 Hardface rockers
5 Valve springs
6 Stock header with WB slip on for now
7 WB rev box
8 K&N filter with lid on

So what size main should i use and what notch should i put the pin at??

This just a wild idea, but they a new plug and if you still have it use the stock CDI box. Are you sure that it is getting gas? It should start with just about any jetting that is close. How old is your gas? Just some ideas.

 

Good try but gas was bought 3 days ago and spark plug is brand new. It is geting as becauei took out the spark plug and turned it ove to make sure it wa andsur enough it shot gas on m hand while i placed it over the spark plug whole...

 

I had the same problem with a high-lift, long duration cam. Try two things. 1- increase your pilot jet size. 2- Mine would only fire if the throttle was closed.
