I have seen Pam from Powroll post some replied to other posts and am interested to heat what she or anyone else has to say about the 430 kit for the Wolverine. How does it compare to the FST 446 kit? I hear the Powroll will not stroke the Wolverine Motor for reliability reasons. By not stroking the motor give up a big advantage the FST kit. I have heard from FST customers who have had no problems from the stroked 446. What kind of horspower does the Powroll kit produce?

Any advice/opinions are greatly appreciated as I want to go with the best builder.

That is a very sharp Wolverine. I'll probably be getting Maier Black plastic after I finish with my engine mods. What year is your Wolve?

About your question, I dont believe Powroll's kit even goes past 400CCs. All it comes with is a high compression piston, midrange cam & heavy duty valve springs. I emailed M.Dunlap from FST to see how much the 446cc kit & installation would be, I believe he said some where around 1200.He told me a certain price I just cant remember it. If I did send my engine off to him, which I probably will, I'd tell him to do polish & bore the head & maybe get the manuel clutch mod also. I havent heard any bad things out of this kit but the 500cc is the only unrealible question kit I've heard about. WILL

There's the page on the Powroll site for the Wolverine and teh Big Bear. They don't go any bigger than 365 anymore for reliability reasons.

People who've gone the FST route seem to be either really impressed (majority) or really disappointed and pee'd off.

Thanks!- That is a 96 with the factory white plastic. The plastic is still is great shape considering it is 6 years old now. I beleive that you can get OEM replacement plastic online from Ronnies ATV for about $300. I have seen some of the Maier plastic and it is very dull and will not shine. Also, when I priced some it was only $70 cheaper than the OEM.

My next mod was going to be the "Unlocker" from Highlifter, but I bent my axle last weekend on a jump so it looks like a Durablue will have to come first.

The only mods I have made performance wise so far is the Big Gun pipe(145 main) and ProFlow filter system (way better than stock. I will definately be getting some motor work done and it looks like the FST kit is the way to go. I really like Powroll but don't want to go to all the trouble to have work done with out getting the most performance available.

I would like to see some pics of other Wolves- anyone have any?

Hey Airwolf, nice Wolverine. I have a 99 Wolverine with lots of different pics with different accessories on it. For summer I only have the rear rack and rear fender protectors, but for winter I add matching windshield and rear seat for when my fiance comes out with me on the trails in the winter..

AirWolf that is one bad looking Wolverine. Very nice job!!!! How do you like that Big Gun Exhaust you have on. I was thinking of getting the Quiet Core one from them. I have a Mega Max 2 from FMF but I hear good things about the Big Guns. They say they are built well and have a good finish on them. Any opinions?

One time you Wolv. kicks A$$. Have not seen any nicer including my own.

Good looking Wolverine skywolf75! How does it turn those 25's?

tripower- the Rubicon Wheels work great. I do not know their exact backspacing, but they appear to be real close to stock. They are much lighter and I have yet to bend them. The best part is, I only paid $35/peice. The seat cover is from CEET. I ordered it from Alba and they had CEET custome make it for my ride. There was no extra charge because it was custom. I think it is refered to as the "blue Banshee" design.

wyd- I love the Big Gun- very noticable gain in the low to mid range. Mine is the utility series, thus the quiet series. I can swap cores and go with a race core anytime, but I like the sound and power I have now. It is not too loud and has a good low rumble. The fit and finish is excelent. I had them coat my stock headpipe with the same ceramic caoting to match the mid pipe.

I did race a guy a couple weeks ago and he beat me by about 2 bike lengths in a 300 yard drag. He had a FMF pipe with all the stuffing out and was running a K&N with no airbox lid. His was extrememly loud though.

Here is a close up of the Big Gun
it has not been polished in this picture so it is a little dull.

Here are a couple of other projects that have resulted from my polishing bug powdercoated swing arm and polished rear diff
