Web Cam for a Wolverine (Help)
#1
I am in the middle of installing a Web Cam and Wiseco forged 10.25:1 piston. When I took the old cam out, I noticed that the front bearing was pressed on, and the sprocket pin was also pressed into the cam. The new Web cam came with neither of these. How do I get the pin and bearing out of the stock cam, or should I just get a new bearing pressed onto the new cam. Please help. I think the pin is reusable if I can get it out.

I'd take the new and old cam to a shop where they A) Have a hydraulic of arbor press, and B) know what they're doing, asking the shop to fit the pin, sprocket, and bearing onto the new cam, assuming all old components are in good shape.
The ol' sledge & punch routine appears too risky, if you can get access to the proper tools and techniques.

Hey there Boomer, sorry been a little busy
I would suggest replacing the bearing. You can easily press the new one on your cam, find a suitible driver that only touches the inner race of the bearing, then fold a shop towel over a few times and place it on a sturdy work bench.
Put the the cam on end on the towel and tightly tap the bearing on the cam till its just started.
Then drive it on with the driver, just be real careful not to hit the bearings.
I believe they cover this repair in the shop manual <- good idea....
As for the pin, if you can get it out without damaging it, its ok to reuse.
Hope this helps

Will do. I have everything in except the head, which Thumper 4X4 will be getting in about 2 days. It was pretty easy. I also put on new handlebars, sealed front wheel bearings, Baja swingarm guard, Wiseco forged piston .20 over, valve spring kit, port and polish head<- (couple of days)
