What do you think the best hill racing gearing would be for going up sand mountain utah on a 86 trx 250r? The 250r has a bills pipe and silencer boysen reeds pro design reed spacer. 40mm kehin pj air box with wite bros. filter wesico .40 pro lite piston kit ported by lidsay machine (out of slc utah) milled head. I running 22x12x8 8 paddle halurs with mohawks in front with stock gearing 13 front 39 rear. I can run 4th gear pinned up the face but i want to be able to go faster. I see all thse gus running different gearing on raptors and i would like to know what the best gearing would be? I would like to take it in like 5th or 6th gear wide open. Thanks Skyler

 

just keep gearing down until you can run the other gears. In my 88 with 85 ATC tranny (taller gears) I ran 12/39 and used 1-5. of course your mileage will vary.
