I just got a trailblazer and I am kinda curious. When I am riding maybe about half throttle and I let up I hear a faint knock. It is not continuous, but I am just wondering if this is normal. Thanks Jason

I have a 2001 TB also, and mine makes the same noise. Just keep ignoring it. But I would like to know if this is normal also. It runs great, but it makes that knocking sound. Come on someone give us some info.

I don't know about the new ones but I have a 99 and a 00.
The TB's are just noisy. I would say that it might be the
chain. Thats what my 00 does and every time I adjust the
chain it goes away for awhile.

my quad

Check your owners manual for the correct procedure. It will
have all the info you need!

Jason I know what you're talking about. my 01 TB did the same thing it was like when you are going and you let go of the gas it would make this knocking sound which to me got annoying. I really don't know if this was normal but it did happen alot. anyways I got rid of mine because it went to the shop for lost compression and I rode it for a month when I got it back then once again it went back to the shop for lost compression again and It didn't come back this time. I traded it in on a used 01 honda 400ex. my friends TB also is in the shop for the second time because of engine problems right now. hey hopefully your quad won't have problems like mine did. well later from #1 stunning madmike

I had a 01 that made kinda of a ding-ting-whatever sound, kinda like a slight knock, but I think it was just the cooling fins on the cylinder vibrating........Also, check the black chain guide-thingy.....That makes a slapping/knocking noise when its loose........

Well I thank you guys for the reply's but I can't say it is the chain because it does it when it is sitting. I really hope it is not the engine
