I heard a rumor that the 2003 DS were going to lose 80lbs. That seems a little excessive to me. Does anyone have any info on this.
To do something like that they would have to rework the frame. Or at least go to an aluminum frame.
Any thought or Info on this.

It sure would be nice. The best improvment they could possibly make.

Where could they lose 80# from without having to jack the price up for the more expensive lighter parts ??
I know, maybe they are going to make it 20% smaller so it will weigh 20% less.

 

I know this has nothing to do with it losing 80lbs. but has everyone seen that new all orange DS650 in the new Dirt Wheels (first ad). That thing looks SWEET.

Are you color blind? It looks red to me. Might have some new plastic in my future.

Only minor changes to the DS for 2003. Red and black color scheme is the most significant. I just got through riding it Tuesday. It will have the wheel offset of the Baja, but not the radial tires. The best news is that the Baja will only cost $99 more than a standard DS for a limited time.
