I had 2wd Bayou 300 and the thing was a tank.Slow ,but reliable. Why not shell out a few more dollars for the proven 290cc bayou, the engine is old school, but if it works and if it is tough, why not. The 250 is new and unproven. The only reason for getting rid of mine is b/c I wanted a sport quad. Oh yeah, the 300 has dbl a arms op front versus the 220 and 250 singles.Dont forget the dual mode diff either . It great for working in the yard or where ever tread lightly might be the theme.

I second that. the bayou 300 (its a 4x4 though not a 2x4) is a tank. a kid i know has one and is impossible to stop in a trail. i recommend it plus i rode a bayou 220 and was not satisfied and am sure the 250 isnt a huge difference

my dads batou 2X4 is very heavy gets poor traction for some reason and has little power for its weight but is a nice ride and is reliable unlike the 220
