I'm looking for the biggest baddest quad box for my new 700 Sportsman. The big quad box Yamaha has looks good but it won't fit the back rack with that hump. I'm not concerned with keeping the rack rail on and all I want is a backrest not a seat built into the box. If anyone knows of a good web site please post.
Thank you in advance :-)

I know just what your trying to get. I looked at all of the aftermarket products available. What I went with was my own "custom box" I went to Home Depot and picked out a tool box that I liked and the color that fit my fancy. I mounted it off the back of my rear rack by using 3 u-bolts drilled into the box and clamped down on the bars of the rack with a rubber pad to over the bar so I could really crank the box down. I get a lot of looks because it sits off my bike. The rear rack is totally open and usuable. Then I added a seat back that I got from Bass Pro Shops. I don't see it in their catelogues any more. The seat back can beadjusted in many configurations.

I think the box issue boils down to getting creative and spend $25 bucks or order something and spend $200 bucks.

I have a Polaris box on my Xpedition. Had to take off the rear rack, and bolt the box to the rack mounts. Lot of storage, and works great.

I dont know about biggest or best but Tamarack makes a box that has Polaris in mind. They molded it so it will fit over that little hump at the end of the rack. I have on for my 01 SP500 HO RSE and it works great. Very durable.Heres their site and page of the box.... http://www.tamarackatv.com/wrap.shtml , I paid $169 local...hope this helps. Oh...different colors too. Hey DJ nice pic's....how about a closeup of the external gas tank!
