But why? lol Serious mud bogger are you? I have an 02 Forman, took it mudden had no problems. Thats with slick mud almost axle deep at times. If you are planning going in some deep DOO DOO i would recomend a SAND PADDLE tire.(Its a good self cleaning tire) It will move the mud and keep you on top longer. Stay with the same size as stock and you engine will work at its best. OR OR Nitoes will work too..hehe Good luck...

Sounds like you need an all around tire. If the stock ones dont do you any good do they? If not this tire will solve your mud and water crossing problems, just dont get a to big of one or your 4x wont handle it...

yeah i was thinking about getiing outlaws in 26 inch 12X12 in the rear and 26X10X12 in the front but one of my friends said they ride rough and pull u off the trails when slow riding. i was also thinking of geting 26 or 27 tri claws and bi claws but the 27s look like thay have a bigger tread than the 26's. i dont know yet though.

thanz Daforeman!

You can run 26s on your stock rims. This will give slightly higher gearing, but the motor makes such good torque you can still go anywhere. No need for a lift kit, either. Pay attention to front bearing and brake maintenance if you spend time in deep mud/water, these quads are known to have problems if those parts stay wet. I went with GBC Dirt Devils (6 ply) as an all-around tire choice, we see limited mud up here in the Rockies, along with rocks, gravel, water, sand, and of course, snow.

Okay...my opinion. My dad's got 26x12x12 blackwaters on the front and back end of his foreman 400. It didn't rob any power at all. He did mount them on .190 aluminum rims. I personally like the blackwaters. I had them on a Wolverine and it was unstoppable. But, I think that there are alot of more aggressive tires out there now. That ITP/Titan 589 is really tough, or the new Maxxis Mudzilla tires. They will be plenty aggressive. Do your homework. Get a 4 ply tire (6 ply is too heavy, and you'll lose power). I'd definitely go with an aluminum rim to offset the heavier weight of the new tires. Make sure your front tires are narrower than the rear, so I'd go with 26x12x12 rear, and 26x10x12 up front. It will be much easier to steer. Make sure they give you new lugnuts with the aluminum rims, because the stock lugnuts won't be big enough for the aluminum rims (TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!!!). I had to go to a local tire store and get chrome car lugnuts. I'd definitely go with rocky mountain atv, but it might be worth checking recreationtires.com as well.

The best all around tires i've ever seen are the Kenda BearClaws.

If you do more mudding than trailing the Maxxis MudBugs are the ticket for you

Outlaws, Mudzillas and the other super aggresive tires are best left to the strickly mud riders.

Soooo How did the stock tires do? Are they the same as on a 2002 Forman? Mine work well enough, the only thing maybe is wider tires, but I would want them to stick inside the fender wells not outside. hehe I clip to many trees as it is...I like to trail ride mostly.
