I read about the Super Wolverine modification to the clutch and was wondering if anyone else had tried this. I have a 1999 Wolverine with 25" Vampires on it. The bike has a tendency to lug down when going through thick mud. If this mod works than it would help me considerably. I am a little scared because those clutch parts are expensive.

All the clutch mod does is raise the engagement rpm. This will not help you if your bike is rolling along and bogs down in mud. What you have to do is raise the torque level of your engine. The wolverines dont make much torque so you have to modify to get it out of it. I would use the FMF megamax II with all 11 discs and endcap on . It raised my torque level quite a bit.You could also go with a higher comp. piston to help a little more.By just raising the clutch engagement you will have a little better takeoff power but it wont help you any if youre rolling along then bog down.I personally like a lighter 2 ply tire also.I have 25" Dunlops on mine and i dont have any trouble going anywheremy firends go. The bike spins the lighter tires a lot easier too.
