I own a blaster and am wondering how well the spindles/hubs/bearings etc. will handle the extra stress applied to them if I turn my front wheels around for greater stability.

Anyone with experience or thoughts on the matter pleae reply. I would like to get some better handling out of this quad, but don't want to start breaking expensive parts in the process.

 

I never had any problems with flipped rims on my blaster as they are light quads. My flipped rims on my Warrior though have bent 1 tie-rod, and 2 tie-rod ends. Not cheap parts either, but the occasional hit rim and bent part is worth the better handling.

 

If you jump it do not flip the rims. You will bend the spindles.

 

i turned them around on mine and bent them all thge way so they are touching the shock. so if i were you i wouldnt do it

 

could u turn them back around after they already got bent

 

Just flip them if you want to, the stress is not a factor on the spindle, unless you weigh 600lbs.
The biggest problem is being wider will make it tougher to ride fast in tight terrain. My wifes Blaster does just fine, and so does my modified Wolverine with 4" offsets. Even 7' off the ground

 

Had no problems bending anything on my Blaster when I had it. I was around 210 lbs at the time. Nothing ever bent on me.

 

i flipped mine and i recomend it, if you are going to bend anything its going to bend even without the extra 2 1/2 inch per side i hit big air with mine and havent bent them yet but i will let you know if i do,but then i only weigh 150.

 

I don't weigh too much more than you and am wondering how big of air you take?

or more in true vertical height and what kind of landings do you have, flat or sloped landings?

 

i flipped mine around no problems at all, but then again i ride sand only. i would launch off the top of a dune in like 5th WOT, and get 6-7 feet off at the rear wheels, and nose dive sometimes, but still no problems
