I installed my HPD trail pipe and clutch kit this past weekend...it finally came in! I love the power and the clutch kit was worth the money. Very happy with it so far.

I am running the Alum. RCR muffler that came with the Stage 1 kit that I used to run. The combo is so loud that I don't know if I or anyone else will like listening to it. I could always put the stock muffler on....but nah.

I plan on selling my used RCR Stage 1 kit, so I NEED a differnet muffler. I see some of you guys run the FMF muffler. Do you like it? How does it fit and sound? Do you use the spring loops that are on the HPD pipe?

I want a good sounding muffler, spark arrested, looks and fits good too. So is the FMF the muffler for me? Thanks.

I just put my FMF on last weekend and I like it a LOT. A bit quieter at idle, but sounds great once you jump on it. I run 5 disks and the quiet core for now and it picked up the power nicely.
While I don't have a clutch kit and just run the green spring, I think you will be even happier than I am with it.

Adam, the HPD quiet muffler tames things down on the db's. I ran the FMF last summer, and had some complaints. Also had the Hot Seat billet unit on with the same "too loud" comments. If it's for racing, IMO I wouldn't worry about it, but around others, they might appreciate the quieter version...just my experiences.

Right now with the HPD pipe and RCR muffler I sound like an airplane. It is louder then any Banshee I have ever heard!

I am familar with the FMF Turbine Core II because one of my riding friends has the pipe/muffler combo. The muffler sounds good but the pipe sucks! He has a clutch kit and reeds now too, plus a rebuilt engine thanks to not changing his jetting when he put the pipe on, and he is still slower then me.

Will the FMF muffler quiet me down enough to not turn everyones head when I go riding? Thanks.

I have the fmf turbine core 2 and I like it. It is not very loud but still has a nice "performance" sound to it. Fits and looks good too. It does turn a lot of heads though.......cause people are wondering what just blew by them.......was that a Polaris?

I have a Turbine Core II with a Jet-Hot coated HPD Trail pipe. It's not much louder than the stock silencer / spark arrestor and a bunch lighter. It takes up a lot less space and is much better looking. Do I sound like I like the silencer ???

Thanks everyone.....you guys are cool. Rocky Mt. has them for sale at $107 so I think I will be getting one.

Now I have one question....how do you keep the HPD pipe for rubbing on the gear selecter lever? Mine is rubbing a little, other then that I love the pipe!!
