A stock wolverine is powerful enough for me, but how would it do with a pipe and filter? I know I want a k&n, what about a pipe? Whats the best pipe for speed, 02 Wolverine.

sorry to burst your bubble, but pipes dont gain top speed...they gain hp and acceleration...

if you dont care about sound the white brothers e-series. i got it and i love it but it is loud. it says it works with stock jetting but that is a lie. for peak performance you need to rejet.

I agree that the WB E Series is loud but works great. I like it way better than the FMF MegaMax2 I have as well. The WB is alum. with 304 stainless steel connecting pipe. Goes on in 5 minutes and has great directions.

I did rejet but I also have a high flow filter setup. I would go with a Mikuni 145, 147.5 or 150 jet. I have tried the 145 and needed to still go bigger. I think the 147.5 would work but I just might jump to the 150 and work back down.

I had a 98 Wolverine (just sold it), but... I had the FMF Megamax II pipe on it, and the White Bros. Torque Stuffer in the headpipe. Definitely put a K&N on it, but to fix the crummy airbox design, you should get the Pro Design Pro Flow kit. I bumped up the main jet one size, and it ran like a champ.

My 01 wolv is stock and since new has a slight miss when riding just off idle. Tonight I pulled out the baffle in the muffler and it went away and I seem to have alot better low end. My question is should I just leave it like this, could it make it too lean on top end? I didnt expect this to make it run better because it seems to be lean with the baffle in. I`m not looking for alot more power just a better running motor.

Pulling the baffle and upping the main jet will definatly help the performance.
After trying this I could bump into the rev limiter in 5th gear, which I could never do with the baffle in and stock jetting.
Very cheap mod with a noticable improvement.
