I modifed the airbox snorkle with a larger plastic tube. I also made the hole as big as I could at the top of the airbox as if I was porting something! It makes a bigger diferance than the K&N but both is the best. I have friends with Polaris and they told me they cut intake airflow down to cut top speed. I was also told that ratio was changed but that would not be a simple mod! I could take pics If anyone is interested!! On how I did it.

Would like to know how you did this. That tiny little stock snorkle MUST be cutting down the HP somewhat. What K&N filter fits the 700? Is it the same as the 2001 500HO air filter?

It is the same K&N filter as the SP500. I have one on my SP700. Unfortunately I don't have the part number here at work.

Just knowing that it is the same filter as the 500HO will do. The parts books have that model listed. I will just tell them I need a K&N for a 2001 500HO. Thanks for the info.
