I found a free service on the net that will let you look at photos taken from both sat and airplane of just about ever sq inch in the U.S. Copy and paste the following...

http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com

when you get to the general area you are looking for, use the large view buttons and the zoom in and zoom out buttons. Find your house and zoom in, you can see something as small as a person from 30,000 ft away. Good way to check out things before you drive 4 hours to some place that a friend of a friend said was a great place to go...just trying to help, have fun.

I've used this service before. It is great. Here is my house surrounded by 3000 acres or so.... http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.c...p;Z=18&W=0

The black looking triangle is the pond in the backyard. All of those woods to the right start Five Forks Battlefield. All the civil war buffs have heard of this I'm sure. Scroll around and you can see my trail system and the dirt roads around the house. I thought I was the only one who knew about terraserver! Chris

Chris, that is a nice place! Its nice to have your own private trails. This is a shot of my place.

If you zoom out 3 times you can see the trails we use, they are along and on the Arkansas river 300 feet from my garage door. We just bought the place and my wife swears the only reason I did was for the trails

Wow that looks great. How much of all that land is yours? Looks like a nice trail system! Congrats on the new land

We only own 6 acres, but the river access gives us a 50 mile run to the Oklahoma line. Did it once never again, took my old body two days to recoup.

mapquest is also a good place to get a satalite picture, actually I found it easier to use because you can use the street maps and then switch to the sat pics.
