hey guy, how ya doing?
i swamped my griz saterday, and really filled the clutch up with mud. i put a post up on it, and was wondering if you knew what i should do? if i would have thought bout it, i would have just posted it with your name on it, lol. man, this **** is so packed into my clutch it is just sickning! can i just use a hose wand water to blast it all out, then use air to dry it? is there anywhere i can grease it, or just leave her dry? how the hell does sand and mug get into a clutch system anyway? i can see water, but man, this thing has 10 lbs of sand and mud in her!! aint kidding either, 10 lbs!!!
when it happened, i called my mom, couse mom's fix everything, lmao!!! but, she is 61 and not really good as a machanic, heehee!
i happened couse a big hole beconed me to it. it was hipnotic, so i was drawn in, ya, thats the ticket, drawn in!!!lol. well, i knew i was in trouble when my ars got wet, and the rear rack dissapeared, so i did what any other idiot would do, lol, i nutted it till i was saluting like any other captain of his ship would do when going down with it, lmao. i am lucky, no water in airbox, or oil. i fought to get the tank top half out of the mud, and held it forever till help could get to me. my brother got stuck just trying to get to me, lol, so my tires are really good!!! lol.

Mich~

Sorry, somehow this post made it past my keen eyesight. <lol> From reading your later posts, you seem to have it figured out. You need to clean that puppy, and yes, you should use new grease on those clutch weights too. My understanding is those weights move, and that grease shouldn't be having contaminates in it, or it will effect your shifting.

Only thing that would make sense to me is if you were in some pretty nasty goo when you dunked your quad, and the crap got in through your tranny intake/exhuast. That will filler up but good.

So mom didn't help much huh? LMAO...I'll remember that next time something happens to my quad, not to bother calling mom. <LOL> Dude, you crack you me up!!
