i was riding today and a kid wanted to race me on his honda 250r 3-wheeler? My raptor is stock and he has a fmf pipe with the stock silencer. Well when the time came down his clutch was smoked so it didnt end up happening so i was wondering what u guys think? i dont really know how fast they are, i know they are quick but would it beat a stock raptor?

 

a good running 250r 3 wheeler is capable of beating a raptor but it will all depend on the 2 riders. i can beat a stock raptor but piped ones are alot harder and all i have is a esr pipe and silencer.

 

A healthy one might pull on your rap a bikelength or so... (or more) They are quite fast.

 

me dad has one of those 250r piped, uni filter and a bore ... and it scares the carp outta me every time i take for a spine! it well give u a run for ur money!

 

The major diffrence will be rider weight. My old 250R four wheeler is .75 sec slower than my piped raptor in a 100 yrd sand drag.
I may be comparing apples to oranges but I've never run a 3 wheeler.

 

The only way you will find out is if you go and race him

 

An atc250r (85-86) models , with a few simple mods can beat a piped shee, so i can see them beating a raptor...

 

I don't know what your definition of a few mods is, but add some toomey pipes and jet the banshee correctly and a 85/86 250r 3 wheeler will not touch it!

As far as the raptor vs. 250r 3 wheeler goes it depends on what year as to which of the 3 wheelers were faster, but the later liquid cooled 3 wheelers, you will not be able to touch. Espially if the riders are equal in skill, and mods.

 

I've raced a stock Banshee, and when my ATC only had a K&N, I smoked him. I taught this Person how to ride, so we are pretty equal riders. I wiegh a little more than he did. Tires were in similar conditon, and I beat him several times. I have a hard time believing a Raptor is faster on top-end than a Banshee, but what do I know, I've never ridden a Raptor.

 

stock banshee against 250r 3 ATC you are correct would be able to probably beat the banshee almost everytime! They were just that fast!
