How much would it take to total out a raptor?

I was at the dunes today and got into a wreck and it tweaked the frame real bad, broke a upper A-arm, broke the tierod bent a wheel broke the rear grab bar and even messed up my thumb throttle.
With the price for a new frame, A-arm, tierod, wheel and grab bar (not sure what else i need) Plus the cost for tearing mine down and putting it on a new frame has got to be alot of money.
I wounder what it take's to make it a total??
Anyone have any idea?
Thanks!

I have full coverage insurance so there gonna pay for it for sure but i'm not sure what to do.... I would love to get stronger better parts then stock but full price for repairs could be around $3000 to $3500
So if they would total it I could fix this one up, plus have a new one!
But all I want is to do get it going agian!!!! hehehehe : ) I have to get back out there and ROOST!

I doubt they will total it for $3500.00. It took an estimate of $7100.00 to total mine. Usually the damage has to be approximately 75% of the vehicles value for them to total it. I actually did what you are talking about. I fixed my Raptor for about $500.00(one of the advantages of working for a bodyshop) and then bought a used mint 400EX(and put some mods on it) with the money left over.

Generally it has to be 80% of CURRENT value.. so an 01 raptor has a blue book of 5400 (ball park), so the total value will be around 4320.
Couple things to keep in mind, they are only going to give you blue book value, now what you paid. You're 01 might be worth more or less than that depending on how long you've owned it, then they are going to hold out your deductible. Then they take the quad, so if you have after market parts on it get them off.
Your insurance is going to go up.. wrecks and pay outs go against you, and most likely your car insurance will go up, as all insurance company use a master database to track payouts, your quad and car are one in the same to them.
If they do total it out, you might be able to buy it back for around $1200 to $1500 in parts.. might be worth your while..
Just my $.02

Well, I got the estimate back and the total came to $4072.50 I am even getting a brand new set of plastics front and rear out of the deal.
They said 2 and a half to 3 weeks before all the parts come in and they do the work before I can have it : (
