At my local dealer, I saw a Cannibal that had Arvin front shocks and an Ohlins rear shock. Is that what all 2002 Cannibals will now be equipped with OR is the factory going to Arvins front and rear? Pls help.

Thanks.

That's exactly what I thought from reading through these message boards but I had a dealer tell me that the rear is Arvin also. I'd ask him to look at the shock but the quad is in transit. In fact, this dealer is getting in some "refurbished" $5000 cannibals and he said that it's Arvins front and rear on those too. Is he wrong? I'm trying to price compare different dealers and bikes (refurb cannibal, vs Ohlins cannibal, vs Arvin cannibal, vs Speed) but it's difficult to do an apples to apples comparison when every bike (and every answer you get) seems to be a little different... Does anyone know for sure?

I just heard they were doing the fronts but maybe they are doing all 3. If that's the case, it sure makes the "older" Cannibals that much more desirable! I'd really be surprised if any of the refurbished units would have the Arvin shocks on them. If so, it makes you wonder what Cannondale is doing with the old Ohlin shocks these quads had when they were new. I believe I would rather have some slightly used Ohlin shocks that new Arvin's.

It also makes the refurb price of $5000 seem a little bit more realistic... It's still a very good deal but not AS good of a deal as it seemed. Does anyone know for sure?

All the quad/motorcycle dealers are closed around here on Monday's or I would call Honda of Tulsa. They have a new Cannibal with Arvin front shocks but I never paid any attention to the rear one. I'll call them tomorrow and have the sales guy look at the rear and post again tomorrow.
