Had my 700 about a month now, and I really love it. Couple of questions, gas milage, are you guys getting any at all? Last weekend we were riding quite agresively in some deep snow and I only got 38 miles before reserve.
Secondly, rear springs, they almost seem softer than my old sp500. Is ther an upgrade for a stiffer spring? My dealer couldn't find a listing, I'm a big guy and I hate the way the *** end squats down.

Sporty 500,
I have read from other people in this forum mentioning the same concern about gas milage. They have reported getting about what your getting. I can't tell you for sure how much gas I go through but I know that it goes quick. The shocks I have no idea about. Good luck!!

I average around 10 mpg thats with my 270 pound butt on it and my 120 pound dog. Made the mistake of taking him for a ride, now he sleeps on it "Good Dog" Guess I should move my 700 out of the bedroom and into the garage

I can't comment on the gas milage because I just got my sp700 last week. But, the rear springs can be adjusted with the spanner nut on the bottom of the spring. I think that you might have to take the wheel off to get at it decently. They come with the lowest setting and I think that there is a tool for adjusting them with your little tool kit that they give you.

Good luck.

Went riding in Jan in Wyoming in deep snow with about 12 other guys. The majority of them ride sp500, half of them are HOs. There were some 2-strokes and I rode the only Honda (Rubicon)in the group. We went less than 40 miles, the 2-strokes all carried extra gas and used it. Everyone was on their reserve by the time we got back to the trucks. Deep show loves gasoline.

Hope yours improves in better riding conditions but sometimes bigger might not be better. (But still worth it)

The owners manual states that the spanner wrench is included but I did not get one with mine. My dealer says he contacted Polaris and they said they no longer include it. The same goes for the nut driver that use to come with the hard plastic Polaris front box. Did anybody else get these tools?

Nope! My tool kit was missing the spanner wrench and the "box-end wrench" as described in the manual.

Other than the fuel mileage, I love the SP700. When I checked mine using the fill at the pump method I got 9.11 MPG. This sucks!

I don't know the exact mileage I get with my 700 but it is poor. In defense of the 700 though, ny buddies new Grizzly 660 isn't any better. We went on a mid-winter ride up near G*aylord,MI through DEEP snow. We both filled up before we left and returned both on fumes. The Grizzly's tank is bigger then the 700's too!
